Ava's 3 months old today.....

Man, they weren't lying when they say to enjoy them when your babies are this little because it goes fast. It still feels like she was just born yesterday. Where did my itty little baby go?

But am I loving the stage that she's in right now. She's so much fun. She loves to play and talk. She loves bath time too. I think she's going to be a water baby. You couldn't keep me out of the water when I was little and I think that's one more thing she might get from me.

She was my little model today, even though I am not professional photographer by any means.

I think this one is my new favorite!

We're so lucky, she is such a smiley happy baby.

Our new favorite thing is to suck on our hands constantly.

A quickie post....

We don't have a lot going on right now, but I wanted to post this video of Ava. She's gotten very vocal and chatty lately and she's so much fun! She is very interactive and I'm loving this stage!

And here's her daddy reading to her. Even though she may not look too much like her mommy now, she definitely has her mommy's love of books.

And I know my birthday was a couple of weeks ago, but I've been meaning to blog about the necklace I got from etsy. I LOVE everything on there! Seriously, favorite website right now.

A very busy week....

We've been so busy this last week, I'm just now getting to post.  My dad and the fam was up here this past weekend so we've been going, going, going. Here's some highlights.

 Here's Kristen getting to play with Ava for the first time. I'm so happy that the girls finally got to meet their new niece!

 Looks likes she's got a hold of Madison's hair. She definitely is starting to get pretty grabby.

 Dad and Tammy with both Ava and Sadie. They're definitely a hand full when they're together.

 Ah, proud Grandpa. I think he needs the nickname Papa John, lol



He knows exactly how to put them right to sleep.



 We went to visit our BFF Nicole yesterday and Ava's so much bigger than her already!

 Sadie is a jumper fool, hopefully Ava will be too

 Right now we're mostly interested in licking the blanket :)

 I don't know why, but I just love this one. She's like, "mom, enough with the pictures already."

 I just love this nightgown, it so adorable!

 It's one of those sac nighties and it's light enough where she doesn't get overly hot.

Ava's new bestie is here!

My best friend Katie had her daughter yesterday, Nicole Elizabeth. She is beautiful, but that's a given because she looks so much like her mommy. I got to go see her on my lunch break and she is so tiny. I was surprised at how light her hair was, I can't believe that Ava's hair is darker than hers.She weighs 6 lbs even and was 18 inches long. She feels so light now compared to Ava. I just know they'll be the best of friends just like moms!

It's funny that they scheduled her c-section on 8/2 because she was supposed to have had a baby shower here in Fayetteville. But luckily I went to her shower in Harrison on 7/23. Here are a couple of pictures from that.

 The Fabulous Miss Mesha Marley, Katie's almost 5 yr old daughter. She absolutely loved Ava. She wanted to hold her, feed her, change her. Whatever she could do to help and I know she's going to be such a little helper with her new little sister.

And for some randomness, I put Ava in the bumboo chair for the first time today. You'll have to excuse the bib, she's starting to drool some now. Plus she's got a runny nose right now. But I think she likes it.

This little stuff animal is hilarious, it makes a lot of weird noises. I was trying to catch her smiling at it but the flash on my camera kept distrating her.

 This is also the new game we like play. Her legs are so strong already, she can stand up supported like this for a really long time. She just likes to look around and make sure she's not missing anything.

 I just love pictures of her when she's sleeping. They're just so sweet. Plus I love this outfit, even though my mom complained about it the entire time she was wearing. It came from Bella Jacks and they have the cutest stuff. I'm also a little partial to things with birds :)

 And another game that her daddy likes to play with her, he calls it fish face. I don't think she enjoys that game so much!

And finally Sadie was not immune to the fish face game either. Sadie and Ava are getting to be a lot of fun together already. They're so curious about each other.

So I've been saying for years that I would start a blog and post some pictures of the art that I've done. Procrastination is my middle name obviously. I love, love, love, doing kid's art. If I had enough work to keep me busy full time I would totally do it. Here are some of my favorites that I've done:

These letters I did for my good friend Gayle for her granddaughter Juniper are my favorite that I've ever done. I'm my worst critic, I'm usually never completely happy with the finished product. But I was so proud of how these turned out.

These were done for my friend Sarah for her son's bathroom. These are probably my favorite pieces that I've done on canvas. Everything just came together on these and went together so well. And I know even though these are like 4 or 5 years old now, she still has them up in her son's bathroom, she refuses to take them down!

And this picture was for my friend Allison and her daughter Jenna. It's definitely up on my favorites list too. I put a lot of time into this one and I'm very proud of how it turned out. I'm pretty sure that Allison still has it up in Jenna's room too!
